Alongside 14 invited guests MJSTAR was invited to watch the Dress Rehearsal of Cirque Du Soleil’s Immortal World Tour.

As the lights dimmed the show began.

The theme of Immortal is based around Michael’s Giving Tree and Neverland. As the statues of Neverland come to life, the magic of Michael’s legacy explodes with an African themed Michael Jackson anthem. The African rhythms and acrobatic dancers bring alive the arena full of color and excitement.

The choreography and costume designs are simply amazing. But it’s Michael Jackson’s voice that takes the lead of the entire show. With new remixes and cleverly edited songs – all of which are backed up by some of the finest musicians.

The final list of songs are still to be confirmed, but we can guarantee you – there will be no disappointment.

For us, there was four or five outstanding set pieces that simply took our breath away. A military dance piece that came to life just as if Michael was directing. A magical moment when four dancers explode into stars. 1930′s gangsters are re imagined with all the theatrics with a live band. And an amazing interpretation of one of Michael Jackson’s most thrilling songs – will simply blow you away.

Immortal is an amazing array of dancing, acrobats, singers, incredible solo pieces – one by an 18 year old guitarist and a breathtaking cello soloist.

Cirque has not copied they have reinterpreted Michael Jackson and created something new Michael would be proud of.

They have embraced the spirit and the magic of Michael with the Immortal World Tour for generations to come.
