The Jackson 5 released a new single called “That’s How Love Is” exclusively on iTunes Tuesday, The song will be featured on “I Want You Back! Unreleased Masters,” an album containing 12 previously unavailable tracks recorded from 1969 to 1974 by the fraternal pop band, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this month.
The CD, along with the re-issued “Jackson 5 Ultimate Christmas Album,” is to go on sale in stores Nov. 10, USA Today said. There has been renewed interest in the long-defunct group since former lead singer turned superstar Michael Jackson died last June at the age of 50.
USA Today said some people in the recording industry were surprised to learn the family of artists still has loads of material that was never released. “It makes it sadder when you think that the world could have enjoyed a lot more Michael Jackson,” singer/songwriter Deke Richards told the newspaper. “We are going to miss him, but hopefully, we can fill in the blanks, and people can enjoy some great music he made.”
