Energy surged through a crowd of more than a thousand people in midtown Friday as Michael Jackson’s family came home to remember a man who was a superstar to the world, but to them a cousin, brother, uncle and son.
The celebration of the singer’s life in the 2300 block of Jackson Street took on the positive air of a neighborhood block party as the day went on.
