Katy Perry has been unsuccessful in her bid to match a US chart record set by Michael Jackson.
Having had the first four singles from her latest album ‘Teenage Dream’ go straight to Number One, Katy was on course to match MJ’s record of five number one’s from the same album. However, ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) failed to hit the top spot and left the record untouched.
Michael Jackson famously set the initial record with his album ‘Bad’ in 1987.
