Jury Selection Begins Thursday In Dr.Murray Trial

Jury selection in the trial of Michael Jackson’s doctor begins on Thursday.

Dr. Conrad Murray will be in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday morning after being ordered to appear at a pre-trial hearing. He is accused of giving Michael Jackson a lethal dose of propofol in 2009.

One thing they will be discussing is how jurors will be selected and will be going over the jury questionnaire. Hundreds of jurors are being considered for this trial, and will be in the courtroom on Thursday. Jurors will be asked is if they will be able to take time off for the trial, which is expected to last five weeks.

A major issue is whether or not jurors will be sequestered during the trial. That issue was decided in August when the judge decided against sequestering.
