Members of Michael Jackson’s family along with representatives from Global Live Events convened on the Beverly Hills Hotel Monday morning for their first major announcement since the release of the feature film This Is It.

The company and the family are teaming up for “Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert,” to be held one time only on October 8. The date marks 40 years since Jackson released his first solo single, “Got To Be There” and will feature a yet-to-be-announced slate of music stars.
