Taking place at London’s O2 Bubble venue from October 28th to January 31st 2010, Michael Jackson: The Official Exhibition is a must for music lovers. The event charts the life of the King of Pop – from his early days as a child star growing up in Gary, Indiana, to his chart domination during the 1990s.
Jackson fans staying in London hotels will have the opportunity to browse nine different themed galleries and see more than 250 objects related to the star. The collection features several items that have never previously been on public display, including music awards, clothing and personal belongings. Highlights include an original Jackson 5 contract, his personal Rolls Royce and one of his iconic sequinned gloves.The exhibition will also focus on the late star’s humanitarian work and dancing talent.
Commenting on the forthcoming exhibition, Robert Santelli, executive director of The Grammy Museum, said: “His unique blend of dance, fashion, showmanship, spectacle and true musical genius marked a watershed moment in popular music, weaving together an intricate story that deserves to be told.”
He added that Jackson was “undeniably” one of the most gifted performers in the history of music.
Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s This Is It movie is set to be screened at cinemas across the globe next month.
