The Michael Jackson documentary has been tipped to win the best picture gong after an incredible reaction at an Oscars screening.
This Is It received “the most enthusiastic response I’ve ever witnessed”, a veteran Oscar voter said after the Academy screening in LA. The expert added: “I predict it will be the first documentary to ever make the best picture nomination list.” It is also tipped to be in the running for sound editing and best director. Kenny Ortega’s movie charts the King of Pop’s final days rehearsing for his London concerts before he died in June, aged 50.
