Joe and Katherine Jackson arrived at the Los Angeles Superior court together for Dr Conrad Murray’s hearing. The pair sat next to each other on the front row in the LA courtroom, with the King of Pop’s brothers Jermaine and Randy and his sister LaToya.
They watched on as a judge gave Dr Murray permission to continue practicing medicine in California while he awaits trial over their son’s death.
Trial judge Michael Pastor refused to ban Murray from practicing in the state at a hearing on Monday, saying he did not have jurisdiction over the doctor’s medical license.
Judge Pastor set August 23 as the date for the start of the preliminary hearing for Murray. The court was told the preliminary hearing could last a week.
