As soon as you walk through those doors, it hits you – this is probably the biggest record company in the world. The overwhelming size of Sony, with tributes to the King Of Pop noticeable at various points within the building. It is with much gratitude MJSTAR was invited to hear the brand new Michael Jackson album.
Let’s get one thing straight. The leaks that have found their way onto the internet – are simply unfinished productions. It goes without saying the initial impression of the new album is simply awesome. The very high quality production, beautiful vocal harmonies, outstanding melodies, thumping bass, kick ‘ass’ rhythms – Michael Jackson would be proud of this. And you know what? We think you will love it!
For MJSTAR the songs that stood out for us where:
“Hollywood Tonight” – we’re just excited talking about this song. It’s a club classic, incredible vocal performance, again beautiful production, and classic Michael Jackson beat box!
“Keep Your Head Up” – again, another song that leaked onto the internet – trust us, this is the finished product and it will simply blow you away! The vocal performance on this track is outstanding, and the gospel choir do more than compliment this track! It’s a killer! And, there is no “Earth Song” samples on this!
“I Like The Way You Love Me” – beautiful vocals, beautiful production – with a touch of something very special – you guys will not of heard! All we can say is – buy the album, and you’ll find out!
“Monster” – this is going to blow up in the clubs. This song is like a bomb, and it’s going to explode. This is going to be big! 50 Cent makes an appearance – this is something special.
“Another Day” – we’re going to be biased on this one, for MJSTAR this simply is our favorite. This is raw Michael Jackson, raw vocals, this is Dirty Diana meets Beat It! If this is not a single – we will be surprised! Stunning production, simply one of the best Michael Jackson songs in a very long time!
“Behind The Mask” – this is what we are going to call the surprise song on the album. It’s very different, but very Michael Jackson. How long has this song been sitting in the vault? Incredible production – and so different. This song is going to big.
Overall – the finished album is classic Michael, the very high production efforts that have gone into this product is evident on every song. The vocals are beautiful, raw and gentle. The harmonies are stunning. The musicianship is fantastic. The leaks that found their way onto the internet – simply do not justify the quality of what is the final product! You guys need to buy this album!
